'do you?' (puzzled look).
'yeah! plus, this week i ONLY got a dvd and a book, which were not MY choices anyway. you and dad chose them for me!'
repressing a smile. 'well, if there's only one left maybe you can get it, but this will be your summer present.'
repressing disappointment at the idea. 'well, yes, but it can be my summer school treat instead. ok?'
'okay, alice, deal!' finally smiling.
